Seventeen teams of up to 8 battled it out for victory and champagne prizes on Saturday night, with Wye Arts Association squeaking past the Growbags by half a point. They scored an impressive 86.5 points out of a possible 110. Draft WYE3 Masterplan opens for consultation

Parish councillors met 29th March at short notice to consider their first impressions of the Draft WYE3 Masterplan, which Ashford Borough Council (ABC) issued earlier in the week.

Following signalling problems this morning at Canterbury West which blocked the lines in both directions, all lines have now reopened. KCC Highways closed Church Street on Thursday morning to enable a mobile crane to install a glass apex roof at the rear of Swan House. The specialist crane from Essex lifted the large glass panels over the top of Wakelins shop and Swan House. KCC has postponed this road closure several times since November because of high winds and safety concerns.

KCC Highways to divert Brook traffic through Wye

KCC will close The Street, Brook to through traffic on Monday 15th January 2018. This to allow works to be carried out to provide new gas and electricity supplies in the vicinity of Woodpecker Cottages. The estimated completion date is Friday 19th January.
