Wye Barn Dance - take your partners please!

Abbey Capers Barn Dance Band will play very live music at Wye Village Hall, Saturday 7th October. This Barn Dance is an informal family event in which everyone, however young or old, can join in and enjoy together. Entrance is by ticket in advance only. The doors will open 18.30 - 22.30.

Please step forward now and contact David Reece for tickets 01233 812130, or by email. Or buy tickets from Ticketyboo, Bridge Street, Wye. Tickets are £15 per head (under 16s £8). The ticket price includes a ploughman's platter or hot dogs, and tea or coffee. Please bring your own drinks.

The Abbey Capers Barn Dance Band musicians are from Faversham. The band play traditional tunes like Kentish Cricketers on a range of instruments, and English barn dances are lively social occasions suitable for all ages. The caller knows that some of those present have little or no experience of this type of dancing, or perhaps only a vague recollection of how to do-si-do, or strip the willow. Therefore the caller will encourage inexperienced dancers onto the dance floor, and explain each dance before the music begins!

There will be a raffle, and a prize for the best dressed table. The theme for the evening will be 'country.'

The Wye Barn Dance is a fundraising social event, in aid of the next stage in the Wye Centre project.
